APCN 2024

Awards

The Organizing Committee of APCN & KSN 2024 has decided to grant scientific awards to presenting authors attending APCN & KSN 2024 whose abstract is selected as the best. Winners will be selected based on the score of their abstract by the Scientific Committee. All presenting authors are eligible for nomination for scientific awards, and the winners will be notified via email.

Best Abstract

  • Given to the primary authors of selected abstracts based on the peer review of the scientific content of their abstracts.

Best Poster

  • Given to the primary authors of selected scientific or educational exhibitions based on the peer review of the scientific content of their abstracts.

* The presenter whose abstract has been selected as the Best Poster should have the poster presentation.

Young Investigator Award

APSN established the Young Investigator Award (YIA) to encourage and honor outstanding young nephrologists from the Asian Pacific region.

Selected abstract presenting authors meeting the below requirements will be considered for the YIA.

Eligibility
  • Must engage (or have engaged) in research and/or clinical practice of nephrology principally in the Asian Pacific region.
  • Must be younger than 40 years of age at the time of receiving the Award (born after 1983 as of 2024)
  • May receive the Award in only one category in any given year.

Procedures / Evaluation Criteria for Assessing Nominations

1) How to apply
  • To apply, go to the “Abstract Submission” page and select the “Young Investigator Award” option.
  • Young nephrologists can apply for either “basic” or “clinical” YIA (can apply for both but nominees will be shortlisted for only one of the two categories).
2) Nominee Presentations & On-site Scoring
  • A total of 10 abstracts will be selected based on their scientific content by the abstract reviewers.
  • The presenting authors of the selected abstracts will be required to present their research at the Oral Communications 3 (Best Abstract of Young Nephrologist) session (June 13 (Thu), 2024).
  • During this session, on-site judges will evaluate the presentations.
3) Awards
  • Two winners (one each from the “Basic” and “Clinical” categories) will be nominated. The winners will be given the APCN Award at the Young Investigator Award Ceremony.
  • All presenters, including the winners, will receive certificates.
